This new house is constructed on a plateau overlooking MacMasters Beach on the Central Coast of NSW. The house has been designed to capture long distant northeast views and retain a mature Coastal Banksia located within the front of the property.
Living areas are located on the upper level and open out to a partially covered deck positioned to capture the morning sun and the views. Bedrooms and children’s play room are located on the ground level and open to the rear yard.
A variety of textures and colours have been applied to the exterior of the house to respond to the Banksia tree and to create an informal relaxed home close to the beach reminiscent of traditional 1950’s holiday houses typical to the area.
